Troopers: Robbery Victim Falls Off Fleeing Vehicle In New Castle

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that took place in the parking lot of a New Castle area bank this morning, according to Director of Public Information, Sergeant Richard Bratz.

Bratz said the incident occurred at approximately 9:28 this morning, Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the parking lot of the TD Bank located at 82 Christiana Road, New Castle. A 22-year-old woman was approached by two male suspects as she was sitting in her vehicle. One of the suspects reached into the vehicle and forcibly grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim, said Bratz. The suspects then ran to a silver four-door passenger vehicle with the victim chasing them. The victim jumped on the suspect’s vehicle before falling off and sustaining minor injury as the suspects fled.

The first suspect was described as a black male approximately 5’08” tall, 20-25 years old with a thin build and braided hair.

The second suspect was described as a black male approximately 5’08” tall, 18-25 years old with short black hair with a muscular build.
