Authorities Update Rollover Crash On Lancaster Pike, Two To Hospital

At approximately 8:35 this morning, New Castle County Paramedics, Cranston Heights, Hockessin and Elsmere Fire Companies were dispatched to the area of Lancaster Pike and Centre Road for a motor vehicle crash with report of a rollover, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne T. Russell.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a vehicle on its roof with two patients were already removed from the vehicle. The first patient, 73-year-old female, suffered injuries to her head, shoulder and back. The second patient, 5-year-old male, suffered no injuries. The patients were transported to Christiana Hospital via Cranston Heights Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics.

The patients were in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.

Breaking Report

Rescue crews from the Cranston Heights Fire Company, along with crews from the Elsmere Fire Company, Hockessin Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware State Police have responded to Lancaster Pike, just west of Route 141, for a rollover crash.

Upon arrival, crews are reporting that two patients have been injured in a head-on collision with a rollover.

Two patients are being transported to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic is restricted the shoulder in both directions.
