The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle that took place late Saturday night, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Michael Austin.
Austin said the incident occurred at approximately 11:23 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018, on Cedar Creek Road, in the area of Heritage Road in Lincoln. The operator was ejected from the motorcycle, coming to rest in a grassy area off the west side of the road.
The operator was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Speed is being considered as a contributing factor in the crash, impairment is undetermined at this time, said Austin. Identification of the victim is pending notification of next of kin.
