Happening Now: Route 1 SB Shutdown Due To Serious Crash

Bear – Rescue crews have just responded to Route 1 SB in the area of Route 40 for a motor vehicle accident with serious injuries.

Early indications are that a single vehicle has slammed into the guardrail.

Crews on scene have blocked all lanes of traffic as they work to treat the patient.

Update: One patient has been transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. The roadway has been reopened. Troopers still on scene use caution if you’re getting out on the roadways.
