Serious Crash Traps At Least Two, Road Shut Down For Five Hours

Milton – At 12:02 this afternoon rescue crews from the Milton Fire Department, along with crews from the Ellendale Fire Company, Milton Police and Delaware State Police responded to 22000 block of Milton Ellendale Highway, near Milton, for reports serious auto accident.

Upon arrival, crews reported that patients were trapped in two vehicles.

At 12:19 Command reported that the first patient had been extricated from the vehicle.

At 12:22 Command reported a second patient was freed from their vehicle.

Not much is known about the number of injured or the nature of the injuries at this time.

We do know that the roadway was closed for approximately five hours while the Delaware State Police investigated the crash.

Crews from Millsboro, Georgetown and Slaughter Beach also responded to the scene.
