Dover Food Delivery Driver Robbed At Gunpoint

The Dover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on the Unit Block of S. New Street on Monday night, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 8:58PM, a 22-year-old male victim that was delivering food to a location in that area was paid with a counterfeit $20 bill. Recognizing the bill was fake, he approached the suspect, who displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s money, according to Hoffman. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not physically harmed during the incident. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’10”, with all dark clothing, and in his 20’s.
