Fiery Crash Sends Two To Trauma Center, Shuts Down Silverside Road

Wilmington – Just before 1:00 this afternoon, rescue crews from the Talleyville Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics, Trooper 4 and Delaware State Police responded to Silverside Road, just north of Route 202 for an injury crash.

First arriving units reported that the vehicle was on fire and quickly extinguished knocked it down.

Command shut down Silverside Road in both directions to allow Trooper 4 to land on the roadway.

Two patients have been transported to the trauma center, one by ground and one by air.
