Woman Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver Near State Line, Evidence Collected

Elkton, MD. – On Friday, March 8, 2019, just prior to 7:00 AM, troopers from the North East Barrack were dispatched to the 200 block of Fletchwood Road, in Elkton in reference to a pedestrian involved collision. On scene, troopers made contact with a 31-year-old female victim being assessed by Cecil County Emergency Services paramedics.

The victim advised troopers she was walking to work when she was struck by a black pick-up truck or SUV. She was walking eastbound on Fletchwood Road on the narrow shoulder when she was struck from the rear, according to police.  Troopers located a mirror and collected it as evidence. A part number identified the mirror as being from a Toyota truck or SUV. The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware for non-life threatening injuries.

Fletchwood Road is just west of the Delaware State Line off of Elkton Road.
