Newark  – At around 3:45 this afternoon rescue crews from across New Castle County were dispatched to Route 7 and AAA Blvd for a water rescue involving a school bus.

Our understanding is that there were no children on the bus at the time of the crash.

The driver was able to exit the bus on their own and the water rescue was canceled.

Crews are currently working to remove the bus from the water.
