Pedestrian Struck Near Glasgow High School

Glasgow – Just before 7:00 this morning rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) were dispatched to 1901 South College Avenue for reports of a pedestrian struck.

While en route crews learned that the accident was in the parking lot of Glasgow High School.

Witness at the scene indicated that the school nurse and staff assisted the patient until first responders arrived on scene, We have not confirmed that.

The patient, believed to be a woman in her sixties, was transported to Christiana Hospital via ambulance with what are believed to be minor injuries, according to reports from the scene.

The helicopter was recalled shortly after crews arrived on scene.
