Tires Slashed On Three Vehicles In Newark Thursday Night

On May 23, 2019, at about 11:25 pm, Newark Police began to receive reports of damaged tires on vehicles parked in the unit block of Madison Drive. Witnesses reported that a white male was observed walking along Madison Drive puncturing tires of vehicles with a knife.

Responding officers located three different vehicles with tire damage consistent with having been punctured with a knife. Officers obtained a suspect description of a white male, 5’5″ – 5’10” with facial hair and wearing a green button-down shirt. Responding officers did not locate the suspect in the area.

A short time later, officers received a report of a similarly described white male acting disorderly about a half mile away on South Main Street. Officers located this subject and obtained his identity. His involvement in this incident remains under investigation.
