After 27 Years Bear’s Countryside Nursery & Garden Center Is Closing

A wall to wall retirement sale began yesterday to liquidate everything at the Countryside Nursery & Garden Center to include all Live Goods, Bulk, Palletized, and Bags Hardgoods, Stone, Pavers, Statuary, Bird Baths, Planters, Flags, Watergarden Products, Wind Chimes, Gifts, Accessories and much, much more, according to an email sent out to customers.

“We are closing our doors forever. All our merchandise, store fixtures, furniture company trucks, front loader, forklift, tools, cash registers, shelving, and other store equipment must be sold. Ask for Bruce for details.”, read the email.

This sale is initiated only after careful consideration. It is our way of thanking you for 27 wonderful years of business and friendship. We are looking forward to seeing you take advantage of these savings, while at the same time accomplishing our goals.”, the email continued.

Countryside Nursery & Garden Center has been the place to go for all your gardening needs since 1992. Before opening the garden center, they operated as a landscape company that started in 1982.

Rumors are swirling around that Lidl, the German grocery store company, is eyeing the parcel of land for their newest Delaware location. That has not been confirmed.
