Man Found Shot And Later Died Identified By Troopers

The Delaware State Police are releasing the name of the individual that was involved in the death investigation on July 10, 2019, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe. said the incident occurred on July 10, 2019, at approximately 8:26 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a residence in the 15000 block of Winner Circle in Lincoln, for a death investigation.

Upon arrival, Troopers located a 34-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Brian D. Chirdon was transported to the Sussex Bayhealth Hospital in Milford, and later transferred to the Christiana Hospital where he succumbed to his injury.

This case continues to remain under investigation by the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit.
