New Castle – Firefighters from several New Castle County fire companies have responded to River Road between Hamburg Road and Wrangle Hill Road for a vegetation fire.
Radio reports indicate that crews are chasing the fire, however, their efforts are being slowed by fences surrounding local businesses.
Crews are reporting that the fire has made it into the marsh.
River Road is closed between Hamburg Road and Wrangle Hill Road at this time.
