The Dover Police Department has arrested Erion Walker, 42, on Robbery and drug charges stemming from an incident on October 8th, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 12:43 AM, Walker was involved in an argument with a 53-year-old male over a $10 debt. Walker physically assaulted the victim, making him lose consciousness, according to Hoffman. Walker then took $50 cash and prescription medication from the victim before fleeing. The victim was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for injuries sustained during the assault.

On October 9th, 2019 at approximately 6:05 PM, Walker was contacted by officers in the area of West Reed Street and S. Queen Street. Officers attempted to take Walker into custody for his warrant for the robbery on October 8th. Walker threw a black bag and attempted to elude officers upon contact. When an officer placed one handcuff on Walker, he refused to give his second hand and refused to comply with officers’ commands.

Once officers successfully arrested Walker, they located the black bag he threw. Inside of that bag was 13 bags of heroin.

-Robbery 1st Degree (October 8th Incident)
-Assault 3rd Degree (October 8th Incident)
-Tampering with Physical Evidence
-Resisting Arrest
-Possession of Heroin (2x)
