Update On Dog Rescue In Bear, Not What We Thought

At around 1:15 Thursday afternoon firefighters from the Christiana Fire Company responded to Treelane Drive In Bear for reports of a dog stuck in a tree.

Finding the call odd we posted to have some fun with our readers. You did not disappoint. The post is below.

Turns out the dispatch was incorrect. The owner of the dog, Mike Pursh, got in touch with us and explained that he thinks the dispatcher must have heard his grandmother joking around in the background. The dog, Toby, was actually stuck in a tire rim in the backyard.

Using resue tools from their truck, crews were able to free Toby from his predicament in short order.

Pursh said Toby has a few minor scratches but he’s fine.
