Details surrounding a reported Newark-Area shooting remain unclear.
Just after 6:00 Tuesday evening, October 29, 2019, New Castle County Police responded to the unit block of Kings Circle just off Old Baltimore Pike.
Initial reports from the scene indicated that a man had been shot at that location. Witnesses also reported that a vehicle had been struck by gunfire multiple times.
During the investigation, over a dozen County Officers were on scene searching an area cordoned off by crime scene tape.
As of Friday morning, police have yet to confirm the details surrounding the incident.
A posting on Crimemapping.com lists the incident as an Aggravated Assault/Non-Family incident. This would fall in line with a shooting incident.
