Man Shot In Harrington Wednesday Night Succumbs To His Injuries

Harrington – The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred last evening, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on December 11, 2019, at approximately 6:30 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Diamond Court, in Harrington, to assist the Harrington Police Department for a report of a shooting.

Further investigation revealed that a 37-year-old male victim had just left his residence on foot when he was shot by an unknown subject within close proximity to his residence.

The victim sustained a single gunshot wound and was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin.

At the request of the Harrington Police Department, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.

Breaking Report

Harrington – Just after 6:30 this evening, Delaware State Police, along with rescue crews from the Harrington Fire Company and Kent County Medics responded to the unit block of Diamond Court for reports of a shooting.

Early indications are that one person has been shot.
