Happening Now: Crews Reporting Shooting Victim At Boys And Girls Club In Wilmington

Wilmington – Just after 7:30 Thursday evening rescue crews from the Wilmington Fire Department, St Francis, Trooper 4 along withe the Wilmington Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of North Church Street for reports of a shooting.

While en route crews were told that the correct address was 1601 N Spruce Street, the Boys and Girls Club, about a block away from the original dispatched address.

Wilmington Police said officers located a 19-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that the teen was shot one time and was en route to the trauma center.

It’s unclear where the victim was actually shot. Reports that the victim was shot nearby and ran to the Boys and Girls Club for help have not been confirmed.
