Reports: Child Struck By DART Bus, Medevaced To AI DuPont

At approximately 3:35 this afternoon, New Castle County Paramedics and surrounding fire companies were dispatched to the 100 block of Greenbank Road in Wilmington for a pedestrian struck, according to Paramedic Corporal Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient, a 15-year-old-male, who suffered injuries to his head. The patient was treated on scene and transported to Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children via Delaware State Police helicopter. He patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Witnesses at the scene reported that a DART bus was the striking vehicle. That has not been confirmed by police.

New Castle County Police Department is investigating the crash.
