Police: Cheswold Woman Facing Seven Counts Of Child Rape

Officials have made an arrest after a lengthy investigation by Cheswold Police Senior Corporal Susan Kline.

Authorities said Jennifer Reed, 37, of Cheswold,  was charged with seven counts of Rape Fourth Degree Sexual Intercourse Victim Less than 18 Years Old and ten counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, twelve counts Unlawful Sexual Contact with a person less than 18 years of age, and two counts of Providing Alcohol to Underage Person.

Police allege that from April 2020 – June 2020 Reed was engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old male in her residence located in the Town of Cheswold. Reed would also have underage persons at her residence and provide them with alcohol and marijuana, officials said Friday.

Police said they were able to interview persons knowledgeable of the incidents in question and secured warrants for Reed’s arrest. She was arraigned via videophone from Court 7 and processed at the Cheswold Police Department. She was released after posting on a $40,340.00 secured bail and no-contact orders with all of the victims named in this case.
