Update: Father, Daughter Thought To Be Missing In Hoopes Reservoir Found Safe

Update: Crews have made contact with the father and the seven-year-old child via cell phone. They are making their way back to the command center to speak with authorities. Command has placed the incident under control.

Wilmington – Rescue crews from across NCC have responded to the 4200 block of Centerville Road in Wilmington for reports of a drowning in the Hoopes Reservoir.

Arriving crews have made contact with the reporting party. Crews are reporting that a child and possibly an adult are missing.

Crews are having issues making access to the water due to limited access points.

Command is asking police to remove their vehicles to allow additional crews into the scene.

Additional marine units are making access from the other side of the reservoir
