Reports: County Police Officer Involved In I-95 Crash Tuesday Night

Just after 8:10 last evening rescue crews from  Minquas and Christiana Fire Companies along with New Castle County Paramedics responded to a crash on I-95 SB at the Chursmans Road offramp.

Radio reports from the scene indicate that at least four ambulances transported what are believed to be six patients. Souces tell First State Update that a New Castle County County Officer’s Tahoe was sideswiped after the officer stopped to check on a previous accident.  Our sources also tell us that the officer was one of the patients transported. Neither report has been confirmed by the police.

County Police Investigated the crash for an extended period of time which caused the closure of I-95 southbound Tuesday night.

This is a developing story.
