Two Sought In Robbery Of ACME Pharmacy In Newark

On Tuesday evening, September 29, 2020, at about 7:50, Newark Police responded to the Acme Pharmacy in the College Square Shopping Center for a report of a robbery, according to Lt Andrew Rubin.

Rubin said the investigation found that two suspects entered the store and went to the pharmacy area. One suspect jumped over the counter and removed pharmaceutical products and gave them to the second suspect. One of the clerks working in the pharmacy at the time suffered a minor injury when the suspect jumped over the counter. The injury did not require medical treatment. The suspects then fled the store. No weapon was displayed.

The suspects are described as two black males. One is wearing a gray and blue hooded sweatshirt with “NASA” on the front and gray sweatpants. The second suspect was wearing a black jacket with a hood.
