Two Cops Involved In Accidents Wednesday, Driver Through Airport Fence

Two police officers were involved in two separate accidents on Wednesday.

At around noon today, a Newark Police officer was involved in an accident at Casho Mill and Munro Road, just north of Elkton Road.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that the officer was uninjured. Police have not said how the accident occurred, however, damage was observed to the back of the patrol vehicle.

At around the same time, the Christiana Fire Company responded to Bear Christiana Road and Christiana Bypass for a crash involving a New Castle County Police Officer.

Initial reports from the scene indicated that the officer was evaluated, however, it is not clear if they were transported. Rescue crews cleared the scene very quickly. No other injures were reported.

At around 12:30 on Wednesday, a driver drove through the fence at New Castle County Airport – No serious injuries reported.
