Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. Thursday morning in the area of 4th and Harrison Streets.
Officials have not released information regarding the shooting, however, residents report hearing a number of shots shortly before police arrived.
The residents described the victim as a young African American male.
