Sunday morning just before 12:00 rescue crews respond to the 4600 block of Bay Road (Route 1) in Frederica for reports of a motorcycle accident with injuries.
While en route crews learned that a motorcycle was involved in an accident with a truck in the NB lanes of Route 1. Arriving crews reported that Trooper 2 would be utilized for transport and closed one lane of travel.
The rider was later transported to Christiana Hospital by air with unknown injures. Delaware State Police issued a statement advising motorists to seek alternate routes shortly after the accident.
