County Police Investigating Second Carjacking In Claymont

The New Castle County Division of Police is investigating a carjacking that occurred in Claymont Thursday evening.

Last night at approximately 9:00, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Seton Drive in the community of Bellevue Manor for the report of a carjacking just occurred, police said Friday,

When the officers arrived, they learned that the 33-year-old woman had just returned home. As she drove up into her driveway, she was approached by a black male suspect dressed in dark clothing and wearing a ski mask. This suspect brandished a handgun and told the victim to get out of the car.

When she exited the car two additional black male suspects entered the car, one wearing all dark clothing, and one wearing a dark top and light pants.

The suspects then drove off in the vehicle. The vehicle, a Mercedes E350 was later located in the community of Edgemoor Terrace.

Approximately thirty minutes prior to this carjacking an attempted carjacking was reported to the Delaware State Police at a Walgreens located on the 800 block of Philadelphia Pike. When the victim in this incident went to move her car she was approached by three black male suspects wearing dark clothing. She retreated back into the store and called 911.
