Dover Police, Marshals Take April Shooting Suspect Into Custody

The Dover Police Department arrested Jon Henry, 25, in connection with an April 16th shooting that occurred in front of Irish Mike’s on Loockerman Street, according to Public Information Office Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said Henry was identified as a suspect during the investigation and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. Officers from the Dover Police Department and United States Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force located Henry and took him into custody in his front yard in the 1400 Block of South Farmview Drive at approximately 4:52 p.m. on May 3rd, 2022. Officers then executed a search warrant on the home and located a 9mm handgun, 56.3 grams of cocaine, and 969.1 grams of marijuana said Hoffman.

Henry was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $116,200 cash bond on the following offenses: -Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony -Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (3x) -Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana -Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine -Possession of Cocaine -Possession of Marijuana -Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
