Police: Blood Trail Leads To Stabbing Victim, One In Custody

On Saturday, May 7, at approximately 9:25 p.m. patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block of 6 Winterhaven drive, in the community of Springs Crossing Apartments for the report of a fight in progress.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they were unable to find the combatants, however, blood splatter was observed in the area of the vestibule and other adjacent walls. Eventually, the officers followed the trail which led to a 22-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to his shoulder.

Officials said the investigation then revealed that prior to the officers’ arrival the victim was arguing with 29-year-old, Ishan Lolly. The argument got physical, and Lolly stabbed the victim. He also reportedly pointed a handgun at the victim. Officers then located Lolly at an apartment in the complex and took him into custody without incident.

Lolly was transported to police headquarters and charged with one count of felony Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, one count of felony Assault Second Degree, one count of felony Aggravated Menacing, and one count of misdemeanor Offensive Touching.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and held in lieu of $4500 secured bail.
