Police: Two Charged In Felton School, Killens Pond Burglaries, Vandalism

Felton Police and Delaware Natural Resources Police arrests two in two seperat burglaries officials said Tuesday

Officials said that Delaware Natural Resources Police State Parks officers arrested Eric Allan Davidson II, 21, and Jacob Tyler Flannery, 23, both of Felton, on burglary and vandalism-related charges following an incident at Killens Pond State Park water park on Monday, Aug. 21, according to police.

Officials said during the early morning hours the pair trespassed into the water park and then accessed park facilities to burglarize the Killens Pond State Park lifeguard office and locker room, and the park’s concession stand/swim shop. They also caused damage at the park by throwing food, drinks and other items while in the swim shop and then into the main swimming pool at the water park complex accoring to police. The investigation also determined that a 50-lb. bag of sugar had been taken from the concession stand and dumped into the pool added police.

Damages to the facility and swimming pool caused the water park to remain closed Monday until 2 p.m. Killens Pond State Park was forced to refund prepaid waterpark reservations for the morning and early afternoon session.

Officials said that Davidson and Flannery turned themselves into Felton Police after video surveillance of another burglary was released on social media. The video screenshots were released in relation to a burglary at the Lake Forest North Elementary School in Felton. Felton Police said the pair confessed to the August 21st burglary of the school and charged them with:

Burglary 3rd Degree (Class F Felony)
Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Class G Felony)
Theft under $1,500 (Class A Misdemeanor)
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 Damage Property (unclassified Misdemeanor).

Davidson and Flannery were processed at Felton Police, arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2, and issued a no contact order with Lake Forest North School. They were then turned over to the Division of Parks and Recreation Natural Resources Police and charged with:

Burglary 3rd Degree (Class F Felony)
Theft Under $1500 (Class A Misdemeanor)
Criminal Mischief (Class A Misdemeanor)
Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree (Misdemeanor)
Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree (Violation)
Possession of Alcohol in a Prohibited Area (Violation)

In addition, Davidson was also charged with Graffiti (Class A Misdemeanor) and Flannery was charged with Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Class G Felony).

Both were released on their own recognizance pending a later court date.
