Armed Robbery At Limestone Wawa Leads To Criminal Investigation

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery of a delivery truck that occurred yesterday evening in Wilmington.

On April 21, 2023, in Wilmington, Delaware, armed robbers struck a local Wawa convenience store. Police said two men, a 58-year-old and a 23-year-old, were unloading a delivery truck at the Wawa located at 2030 Limestone Road when two suspects barged into the trailer.

One of the suspects produced a handgun from his waistband, overpowered the two men, and proceeded to take numerous boxes of cigarettes from the trailer. Fortunately, neither of the two men were injured in the bad turn of events.

The Delaware State Police said both suspects were described as black males in their early twenties, approximately 5’10 to 6’00 in height, and with thin builds.
