On October 5, 2023, at approximately 12:21 p.m., a motor vehicle collision with a vehicle into a house occurred in the 1100 block of McKennan’s Church Road.
Upon arrival at the scene, the New Castle County Paramedics discovered a single SUV that had collided with a house. The driver, an 81-year-old male, was trapped inside the vehicle. Responding members of several area fire companies worked to extricate the driver from the wreckage.
After being successfully freed from the vehicle, the injured driver received immediate medical attention from the Paramedics and EMTs from the Mill Creek Fire Company. Due to the severity of his condition, he was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. At the time of transportation, his condition was critical.
New Castle County Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
