Troopers ID Pedestrian Struck And Killed Thursday

Delaware State Police have released the name of the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday evening in New Castle.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on September 17 on North Dupont Highway, north of Stahl Avenue. Police said a Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound in the right lane when a pedestrian walked across the northbound lanes and into the vehicle’s path.

The pedestrian, identified by Delaware State Police as 57-year-old Nanette Snow of Wilmington, was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Toyota, an 18-year-old New Castle woman, was not injured.

North Dupont Highway was closed for approximately two and a half hours while the scene was investigated and cleared. The crash remains under investigation.
