TRAFFIC ALERT – New Castle County – I-95/Rt 896 Interchange–Upcoming Lane and Ramp Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that daytime closure of the on ramps to Southbound I-95 from Northbound and Southbound Route 896 for bridge abutment excavation. Additionally, there will be Northbound I-95 nighttime lane closures for bridge girder erection, and overnight lane closures on Route 896 for barrier painting and signal installation.
RAMP CLOSURES
· Tuesday January 23 through Friday January 26: Daytime Ramp Closures, Northbound and Southbound Route 896 to Southbound I-95. (7AM – ; 5PM). Detours will be posted.
I-95 IMPACTS
· Tuesday January 23 through Thursday January 25: Nighttime, Multi-lane Closure, Northbound I-95 between the Toll Plaza and the Route 896 Interchange. (10PM – 6AM)
· Thursday January 25: Rolling Roadblock, Northbound I-95 between Toll Plaza and the Route 896 Interchange (12AM – ; 5AM)
SR 896 IMPACTS
Tuesday January 23: Overnight lane closures, Northbound Route 896 between the Old Baltimore Pike and the I-95 interchange (10PM to 6AM) Thursday January 25: Overnight lane closures, Northbound and Southbound Route 896 between Glasgow High School and the I-95 Interchange (10PM to 6AM)
