Man Trapped Under Vehicle Airlifted Thursday

At approximately 1:37 pm, New Castle County Paramedics, Hockessin Fire Company, Cranston Heights Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the unit block of Hawthorne Court for a subject trapped under a vehicle. Responding units confirmed reports.
  
Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found a 59-year-old male subject in the care of
Hockessin Fire Company EMTs, and with rescue personnel had already extricated him from
under the vehicle. The male suffered injuries to his upper extremities. The patient was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and was transported to Christiana Hospital in Newark via Delaware State Police Aviation helicopter Trooper 4 accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious but stable condition at the time of transport.
