On Sunday evening, a serious motor vehicle accident occurred on North Dupont Highway, southbound, near the intersections of Hunters Run and Jerome Drive in Cheswold.
Emergency crews including Cheswold, Leipsic, along with Kent County Paramedics and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 responded to the crash.
The accident resulted in significant injuries to at least one individual, who was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
The accident caused the southbound lanes of North Dupont Highway to be closed to traffic to allow emergency services to manage the scene and conduct the investigation.
