Man In Stable Condition After Crashing Into Home Saturday

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a crash that sent a vehicle into a home Saturday.

At approximately 6:52 PM on July 6, 2024, New Castle County Paramedics and the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Silverside Road and Grinnell Road following reports of a motor vehicle that had collided with a house.

Upon arrival, fire department units discovered an SUV that had veered off the roadway, struck a telephone pole, and subsequently impacted a residence. New Castle County Paramedics assessed and treated a 47-year-old male at the scene for potential internal injuries. He was transported in stable condition to Wilmington Hospital by an ambulance from the Brandywine Hundred Fire Company.

The responding agencies included New Castle County EMS (Paramedics), Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, and Delaware State Police.
