Officials Identify 22-Year-Old Gunned Down Thursday

Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place at approximately 12:35 p.m. in the 1300 block of East 28th Street. Upon arrival, officers found four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officials have identified 22-year-old Jamere Black as the man who succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the hospital.

Black was one of four that were shot during this incident. A 34-year-old male was also taken to the hospital in critical condition. Additionally, a 21-year-old male and a 20-year-old male were transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The scene remains secured with police tape as investigators continue to collect evidence and interview witnesses.
