Just after 8:30 Wednesday evening, police and rescue crews responded to the 400 block of McCabe Avenue in Wilmington. Initial reports indicated that a patient in their teens was struck by gunfire and was later transported to AI DuPont Hospital for treatment.
As of 9:15 AM Thursday morning, the Wilmington Police Department has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
