Just before 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, police and emergency medical crews were dispatched to a residence on Del Laws Road, near the Caravel Farms development in Bear. Initial reports indicated that a man had sustained multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to a nearby trauma center with serious injuries to his upper body, according to early information from the scene.
Sources familiar with the incident told First State Update that the male suspect was known to the victim and that he was taken into custody near the scene shortly after the incident.
Court records reviewed by First State Update confirm that an individual matching the name provided by those sources was booked into the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution later that day.
Authorities have not confirmed where the altercation began but, it’s believed it occurred in the vicinity of the residence. As of Wednesday, officials had not released additional information or listed the case on their public crime reporting map.
