Kent County emergency crews were dispatched to a deadly collision on Westville Road near Allabands Mill Road in Camden Wyoming Saturday evening.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that at around 6:00 two vehicles were involved in a crash with one catching fire. First responders arrived to find one engulfed in flames. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released, and the number of additional patients has not been confirmed.
The Delaware State Police advised the community shortly after the crash, reporting that Westville Road at Allabands Mill Road was closed due to the severity of the incident. Troopers urged motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes while investigators examined the scene and crews cleared the roadway.
