House Catches Fire For The Second Time

New Castle – At approximately 4:15 p.m. this afternoon fires crews from across New Castle County responded to the unit block of Danville Court for a report of a house on fire.

Responding firefighters found heavy smoke coming from one side of a duplex home. Fire crews were reportedly able to bring the blaze under control and limit the damage to the first unit. The adjoining home did not receive fire damage according to the reports.

A neighbor said that today’s fire was the second fire at that same address in recent weeks, adding that the family has been staying in a hotel since the previous fire. The family was notified of today’s incident and came to the scene as firefighters were working the fire.
