Middletown – Naturally Beautiful Salon takes a hit, but no one was injured, thanks to Salon owner Laeia “Nikki” Washington!!, according to Middletown Police Spokesman Captain Michael Iglio.
Iglio said on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, after pulling into a parking space, Omowunmi M. Babatunde stepped on the gas instead of the brake and accelerated through the front of the Naturally Beautiful Salon.
There were three employees and two clients inside of the Salon at the time of the accident. Nikki not only warned everyone in the Salon to exit towards the back of the store, she also re-entered the store to help Babatunde get out of her car.
The building, Salon and vehicle suffered disabling damages, but with the quick actions of Nikki, not a single person incurred any physical injuries on scene, said Iglio. Babatunde was issued a citation on scene for her inattentive driving.
