Dover Man Shot In The Back Succumbs To His Injuries

The Dover Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday morning, May 13th, 2018, according to  M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said at approximately 2:04 a.m., officers responded to the Unit Block of Mitscher Road for reports of multiple gun shots being fired.

Upon arrival, officers located several shell casings, but no victims or witnesses. A short time later, it was learned that there was a victim that arrived at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital with a gun shot wound to the back.

The victim was identified as 20-year-old Jameir Vann-Robinson of Smyrna, Delaware. Jameir Vann-Robinson was pronounced dead as a result of the injury he sustained a short time after his arrival at the hospital.
