Authorities Update Two Snow-vember Traffic Accidents

With the snow on Thursday authorities were dealing with crashes and reports of pedestrians stuck throughout the day. Below are two of those incidents/

Crash Route 1 Southbound At Kirkwood Saint Georges Overpass

At approximately 0840 hours this morning, New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware City Fire Company were dispatched to the area of Route 1 Southbound and Kirkwood Saint Georges Overpass for a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, 28-year-old female, in care of emergency medical technicians. The patient suffered injuries to her neck and back. The patient was transported to
Christiana Hospital via Delaware City Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Pedestrian Struck Marsh Road At Veale Road

At approximately 6:20 on Thursday evening, New Castle County Paramedics, Brandywine Hundred, and Claymont Fire Companies were dispatched to the intersection of Marsh Road and Veale Road for a pedestrian struck.

Russell said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found the patient, 39-year-old female, in care of emergency medical technicians. The patient suffered injuries to her head and pelvis. She was transported to Christiana Hospital via Claymont Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.
