Newark – Rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder have responded to Otts Chaple Road at West Chesnut Hill Road for reports of a motor vehicle crash.
Upon their arrival, crews added Trooper 4 and New Castle County Paramedics to the call.
Trooper 4 arrived on scene within minutes of dispatch. One patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Aetna Ambulance A-9, with Trooper 4’s medic accompanying.
New Castle County Paramedics en route have been recalled.
Traffic in the area is backed up as Delaware State Police investigate.
A third vehicle went off the roadway just south of the intersection. It’s not clear if they were involved in the accident or if they pulled off the road.
