Dover Police Charge Man With 7th DUI

Just before 11:00 PM  Saturday, August 17th, 2019 the Dover Police Department arrested Edward Prettyman (60) on a 7th offense DUI charge following a motor vehicle accident, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said during the investigation, officers detected an odor of alcohol coming from Prettyman. Prettyman refused to comply with several Field Sobriety Tests at the scene. Officers were forced to get a search warrant for a blood draw.

Once the blood draw was completed at a nearby hospital, Prettyman was charged with the 7th offense DUI and committed to SCI in default of $20,000 Secured bond.
