New Castle Hit-And-Run Leaves One With Serious Injuries

New Castle – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a serious hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred tonight in New Castle,  according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale

Hale said that the crash occurred at approximately 9:06 p.m. this evening, Saturday, January 28, 2017, on DE Rt. 9 (New Castle Avenue) in the area of Albany Avenue and involves a pedestrian and a motor vehicle which has fled the area. As a result of the crash a subject has been removed from the scene and transported to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center with serious injuries.

New Castle Avenue between Albany Avenue and Terminal Avenue was closed to traffic in both directions and commuters were asked to find alternate routes of travel.
