A Wilmington Police investigation has resulted in the arrest of a man in connection with a bank robbery that occurred last week.
Police said on August 18 at approximately 9:16 a.m. police responded to the 1000 block of North Union Street for a bank robbery. Responding patrol officers took 60-year-old Kenneth Wilson into custody without incident in the 1400 block of North Lincoln Street. Officials did not release the name of the bank, however, the only bank on the 1000 block is the PNC at 1009 Union Street.
The case was assigned to Detective Kevin Murphy of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of a continued investigation, Wilson was identified as the suspect in connection with this bank robbery.
Wilson was charged with Robbery (First Degree).
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution with a $20,000 cash-only bail.
